  WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE???

The Last Walk Across the Bridge was held on September 20, 2008.   Pictures of the events of that day are available on the Special Events page.

The Bridge is not closed, this was an organized walk to commemorate the bridge and give people the chance to see and hear more about its history before it comes down.

Both sidewalks on the Norridgewock Bridge will be CLOSED permanently as of Monday October 27, 2008.

History of the Bridge Booklets are on sale at the Town Office for $5.00 each or 2 for $8.00.  Coffee mugs commemorating the Last Walk Across the Bridge are on sale for $5.00 each.  We have four T-Shirts left for sale.  Two small and one medium in yellow, and one small in gray.

The Town Office does not have much information about the schedule of the new bridge but we are told the temporary bridge should be ready to open by December 15, 2008.  It will not be a floating bridge.  Boats will be allowed to pass through but there will be signs asking people to keep moving.  It will be a two lane bridge.

All ATV trails and access routes in Norridgewock will be officially closed for the season on Saturday, November 1, 2008.  Effective on this date and until further notice, it will no longer be legal to operate an ATV on any of these trails or access routes.

The Norridgewock Sportsmen Association appreciates your assistance with our efforts of having ATV trails and access routes in Norridgewock.  It takes the efforts of all of us to keep these trails and access routes open.  There will be consequences for anyone operating an ATV on these trails and routes starting on November 1, 2008.  Any violators will be held personally responsible for any penalties or costs associated with not abiding by this regulation.
