We had over 2,500 people in attendance and close to 100 aircraft fly in and of course the 50+ airplanes based at the airport. All those involved in the organization of this Family Fun Fest & Fly-In were pleased of its success and are excited about the planning of next year's event. We hope to make it even bigger and better. Our goal of providing a free fun day for families was met and then some. About 115 boys and girls ages 8 to 17 signed up for the Young Eagles Flight Program. Unfortunately because of the peak wind gusts, not all who signed up were able to fly. We had to shut that program down a little early for safety reasons. We hope they will come back next year to fly!
There were many other events going on to entertain the ones who didn't get a chance to fly.
